IntraHealth is seeking a Technical Director for the upcoming five-year USAID/Uganda Strengthening Local Health Systems (SLHS) Activity, valued at $25-$50 million. The purpose of the activity is to strengthen key elements of Ugandan health systems focusing on health care financing (HCF), human resources for health (HRH), health management information systems (HMIS), and community health systems.
With guidance from the Chief of Party, the Technical Director will be responsible for technical oversight and coordination of SLHS program activities and directions. The Technical Director reports directly to the Chief of Party and works in coordination with the SLHS leadership team. This position will take a leadership role in ensuring SLHS meets stated project goals, quality standards, and reporting requirements. The Technical Director will also work in collaboration and coordination with USAID, the Ugandan Ministry of Health, other health implementing partners (IPs), and numerous GOU institutions and representatives, particularly at the regional- and district-level, to design and implement health systems strengthening (HSS) and integrated health activities.
This position is contingent upon award and approval by USAID.
